Why are honeycomb grids used in Photography, Cinematography, Television, and Video Production?
Honeycomb grids are utilized in cinematography to direct light precisely onto subjects, eliminating unwanted spillage and highlighting specific areas with higher accuracy. They work by narrowing the beam angle of light sources, which minimizes glare and harsh shadows, resulting in softer, more natural-looking illumination.
The different angles of honeycomb grids for Aladdin’s ALITE2 are classified by degrees of angle, such as the tighter 40° grid producing a narrower beam and stronger falloff, while the wider 60° grid offers moderate control with less light loss. This allows cinematographers to achieve different lighting effects and mood variations, adding depth and dimension to their visuals. Lights with honeycomb grids are used to highlight specific areas of a person or product and to prevent stray light and glare.
Aladdin’s optional Honeycomb grids are custom manufactured of aluminum and attached by high strength Neodymium magnets to the front of ALITE2. Options in both a 60-degree and a tighter 40-degree pattern are available. Add to your creative bag of tricks by adding honeycomb grids to your ALITE2 light kit.

Aladdin products are manufactured in South Korea (ROK)
Are Aladdin products UL or ETL listed?
Aladdin lights are low voltage products, and all of the power supplies and transformers are either UL or ETL listed.

What apps can I use with Aladdin products?
The "All in App" for the Aladdin "All-In" and
Aladdin "Mosaic" products is available for Apple or Android.
The "Lampora" app for the Aladdin ALITE-2 is available for Apple or Android Other open source and paid DMX wireless control apps such as Luminair, and Blackout will also work with some Aladdin products such as the Mosaic and ALITE-2 series.
Where can I get repairs, service, and spare parts for my Aladdin lights?
For the U.S. market, most repairs and service can be done at our Southern California location. We do stock some replacement parts, and most can be obtained within a week.
